Spring we can't wait to see you again!

We are going a little stir crazy!

Can you see poor Anthony's shiner? Alex got him good with his head on Friday night.

So we play outside as much as we can and with the Xbox to burn off our indoor steam.

Another pic of Anthony's shiner above and one that poor Alex earned on his forehead at school.

Howie is over it too. C'mon spring, show your face-we dare you!

We entertain ourselves with mismatched clothes and lots of tunes.

Wearing monkey hats and silly faces to pass the time.

We had a blast our first hockey season!

So we ask with so much glee, spring come and join us-WE ARE BEGGING TO SEE GREEN!

Taking a break

I have decided to take a break from Facebook, FB, whatever you want to call it. While I love all the pictures and celebrations I think it is important to shut down being too attainable. When I get home at night I am going to make a conscious effort to put my phone on the charger and answer it if it RINGS! If you need to text me go for it, I am just going to try not respond unless I hear my phone ringing. With my new gig at EB it is not required I bring my computer home every night but I have my email coming to me on my phone. I am also going to make a conscious effort to curb checking that until I hit the night time routine of brushing my teeth. Not that I think that any of the above is bad, I just feel like unplugging for awhile and focusing on the voices in my house. Reading a book on my off time and writing out cards. I love writing! Full sentences with lots of adjectives and really just getting back in touch with me. Write out our bucket list and plan our trip for the year. I did book a trip for Erik and I to go to Vegas in October. We leave on Monday at 6 am and will arrive back in Fargo at midnight on Friday. I will be attending the LinkedIn conference for work for a couple of the days but the rest of the time we are going to relax by the pool, order room service, and take in a few shows.

I am feeling guilty today because I did not get Anthony's report card in for hockey. He is an awesome student and I should give him chances to celebrate that. Completely gapped it out. So instead of the
7 pm ceremony at MHS I think we will be at Cherry Berry. I can't decide whether I should tell him or not because I know he is going to be upset with me.

So now I have the mom guilt's. I plan on taking a half day Wed-Fri this week for spring break (already planned, not due to mom guilt) so just he and I can hang out. I thought we could do a movie, hit up the new Courts Plus indoor park, and a trip to Barnes & Noble. I cannot believe how he has changed this year!

I feel good...

Happy Friday!
Happy Birthday to the Kuehl's! I still think it is crazy that you two have the same birthday.
Anthony is goalie tonight, tomorrow, and Sunday. His staples are gone and he is back in action!
We told Alex once he turned 5 he couldn't crawl into bed with us anymore. I woke up with him sleeping next to me. Did not care. Smirked, rolled over, and slept.
Talia sang Twinkle, Twinkle all the way to daycare today.
Tomorrow we get Ryland and are headed over to the Governor's Inn in Casselton to swim. Can't wait!
Storm is suppose to be coming.
Boys are busy making snow tunnels and playing outside until after dark. Come in for warmth and bed.
Anthony has pajama day today.
This weekend we are going to conquer Valentine's and get prepped to see the Heer's. Yippee!!!

Lately

We are busy throwing tantrums when we are told we are not allowed to table dance!

Having playdates with friends. Alex turned 5 and Stuart turned 7 this month.
Cannot believe that is possible!

Celebrating said birthdays with Spiderman cake.

Did I say eating cake already?

Staples

Need I say more??? Yep, we spent the night at the ER getting a couple of staples in his head. He was playing around and knocked his head into the leg of a table. He was brave, cried on the way there but was really good when we got there. Asking lots of questions to both the doctors and nurse. Never a dull moment around here!

I am, I think, I know...

I am, I think, I know...

I am: really sick of winter. It is around this time it starts to weigh on more than usual. I need sun, water, and kids outside!
I think: get over it!
I know: life could be a lot worse.
I want: vacations, so bad I could cry. With that I want a nanny to bring with.
I have: many, many things to be happy about.
I dislike: not much. Cooked peas for sure.
I miss: my grandma's and carefree days.
I fear: for our children's futures.
I feel: like today is Monday and I need to get in the swing of things.
I hear: what I want.
I smell: coffee, I don't even really like it. Not sure why I am drinking it!
I crave: fun! Cannot wait for Alex's bday celebration this weekend at the hotel.
I search: for what the next steps are, always.
I wonder: where does the time go?
I regret: not much.
I love: so many, many things. Chocolate is really getting higher on this list as I age.
I care: more than people could ever guess.
I am always: wondering why people post some of the stuff they do on FB. (ditto B!)
I worry: about tomorrow way too often.
I remember: to take it as it comes and never let it get too big.
I sing: all.the.time and never with the right words.
I argue: when I have had enough.
I write: as often as I can, I wrote old school in a journal last night-I love that!
I lose: everything. Keys, money, gift cards, makeup, my purse. Utter ridiculousness!
I wish: for another baby sometimes now that Talia is in toddler mode.
I listen: when I want to, trying to retrain myself to be more patient.
I don't understand:why the same reasons I love ND/MN nice, it can also annoy the heck out of me!
I can usually be found: with a child in my lap.
I am scared: not easily.
I need: did I say a vacation?
I forget: all the time. Birthdays and special days I am very bad at remembering.
I am happy:for sure.
