Third trimester

So I am in the final stretch, 15 weeks to go. Freaking out a little bit but very excited. This last month I have been starving! I had my monthly appointment today and was dreading it because of the weigh in. I did gain 3 lbs this month but that brings my total gain to 4.4 lbs and Fiebiger was very pleased with that. Most woman at this point have put on 15-20 lbs so I will take it! The baby is VERY active, putting me at ease that she is going to keep up with her big brothers with no problem. It seems she likes to really have fun between 4-6 am which is not ideal for me. I usually wake up and go for my final bathroom run before I get up, I lay there as long as I can because I know as soon as I lay back down she will be moving like crazy. Still cannot believe we are adding to the chaos but looking very forward to meeting her. Now if we could come up with a name...

Nursery

Baby #3's nursery is coming along. I think we might jump into painting this weekend. So far these are some of my finds:

Love this crib set by Pottery Barn. I am skipping th bumper because they make me paranoid and just going for the sheet which is on clearance and I love it!

In this picture, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the butterfly mobile. I cannot find it anywhere online so I found some cardboard decals on Etsy that are very similar but are birds for $6.49 and I am in the process of stringing them together with Anthony. He has also already made a couple of pictures for her that I need to find frames for. It is fun to do projects with him plus at home projects are much more in my budget.

For the light fixture I found the Gypsy Chandelier. I am in love with this! I found it on this site for much less than any other retailer. I went back and forth between just a simple clean chandelier and this one. I have to have this one. I know it might be a little wild for my Mother-in-law but she will grow to like it.

My mom is making a quilt to coordinate with the fabric that I have hanging at my desk at the office that I still love after looking at it every day.

With a soft wall and white wash dressers/ crib I think this is going to all pull together beautifully. Hope she loves it as much as I do!

4 years...

This past weekend was really nice. I was very excited to spend some much needed time with my Godson...I swear the best baby ever. He was at our house for 6-7 hours and did not cry once. As long as he was fed, changed, and able to play Wii with the big boys he was content. Very happy baby, the Kuehl's are blessed. It was great to get caught up with Amy and Brad as well, ate come chicken artichoke pizza from Papa Murphy's-life is good!

This past weekend was the anniversary of my Grandma June's passing, it has been 4 years. In my eyes 4 very long years. They say that time heals everything. I am still waiting. She was hands down one of the most important people in my life, still is. I miss her voice, hearing her say,"Hi Darling"...whenever I called or walked in the door. I miss going over to her house for lunch. I miss her insisting Anthony come sit on her lap and even though he was little he always went to her without hesitation. She loved him so much. I think that she brought me Alex, he was conceived a month and half after she passed. We had been trying for 3 years. One month of infertility and BAM, it works. The doctor was blow away by that. About a month before I conceived this last time I prayed to her because I was lonely. At our family functions she was my go to person and I feel lost without her especially when it is all of us. I think she sent me my daughter to say here is another strong female.

My Grandma was the strongest woman I have ever met. She had 12 children, worked full time as a very successful business woman, and was an AMAZING cook. The woman started baking 2 months before Christmas to make sure she made everyones favorite. She nursed me back to vitality after my 22nd birthday when I crawled into her apartment. She insisted the hospital release her the day of Anthony's baptism. She told the nurses that if they did not let her go she would be gone when they came back to check on her. Fresh from open heart surgery.

Man, I just really miss that woman....

Anthony's Conferences

First off let me tell you that I would have missed them. But Anthony reminded me a half hour beforehand. The sheet has been hanging on the fridge for over two weeks but I have been preoccupied with so many things I completely forgot about conferences.
"Mom, I need to show you something."
"Not right now, I am trying to clean up the entryway."
"Mom, it is important."
"Anthony, I said not right now."
"Okay, but you are going to miss my conferences."
Yeah, huge sinking feeling.
"Buddy, I'm sorry! Get your shoes on we gotta go!"
Bless his school for having onsite daycare during conferences. The boys played while I ran to Mrs. England's room. Arriving promptly at 5:03 pm.

She is the sweetest woman. I have worked with her on a couple of projects this year and have really enjoyed her as Anthony's teacher. We sat at the little table with the little chairs and began to talk about Anthony's year. I always get nervous at these, waiting for the shoe to drop. Worried he is not catching on or that I am not seeing something that she is.

But she gave a glowing review of his progress, he received star pluses on everything. She made a remark that is still in my head,"I am going to keep my eye on him because I think he is really going to be something." I think so too. But it is sure nice to hear that from his teacher.

She told me that he is a perfectionist and likes to have everything done correctly. That if he does get something wrong he gets upset. I can relate because I was like that too when I was a young student. School came fairly easy to me. The problem with that is it lost my interest. When I started high-school other things definitely took a priority and as long as I passed that was good enough. I don't want that to happen with him. You always want better for your children.

So I asked her. "What do you do as a parent to keep them interested?" She responded,"Do what your doing because it is working." I appreciate that feedback but my parents certainly tried to keep me engaged but I did not care what they thought. I thought I knew better. So my hope is that he stays interested and takes away from school as much as he can. I suppose as parents that is all our hope.

Baby becoming a big boy!

Alex always refers to "baby sistter" that is how it sounds. Before we even knew she was a girl he called her that. He must have had an inkling. I will get up in the morning and he will say,"Baby sistter wake up? Is she hungry?" It is so cute. I pray that she is a laid back baby like Alex was. I still think of him as my baby even though he is 3. There is something bittersweet about a new addition because your last baby evolves into a big kid. Part of you pushing and part of you pulling back. I hold him as much as I can even like a baby. Because I am going to miss that when he is the big boy. But he will take it all in stride like he does everything else. I look forward to seeing him take on the big brother role because he is so sweet, thoughtful, and funny. FUNNY! I imagine him to be the big brother she will run to for entertainment and solace. The one she will ask for help from and who will be her friend. Because that is just the kind of guy he is. Love you Big Al!

Friday...I love you, I really, really love you!

Yipppeeee! It is Friday! I am doing a happy dance right now! Yeah right, I am sitting on a pillow at my desk because I think my butt is broken. It hurts so bad from sitting all day-pathetic but true-YOUCH! I get home at night and literally stand for like 2 hours because my butt needs the relief of sitting pain. Does this happen to anyone else when your pregnant? For me this is the third pregnancy and third broken butt.

On the agenda this weekend is to wrap up the bathroom-it is turning out very pretty. I should have taken before shots. Speaking of pictures I am going to make the effort to put batteries in my poor camera that has been staring at me from my dresser wondering if I plan on using it anytime soon. Well this weekend I promised to take it on a date. To the bathroom, to Anthony, and to Alex. Maybe even to a belly pic...we'll see. Alex is also getting his 3 year pictures done, maybe 2 months late but that's okay. With that involves me going shopping to find him an appropriate stylish outfit.

I met my friend Holly for coffee last night. She had coffee, I had a delicious chicken salad with cut up chicken breast on a arugula with dried cranberries and walnuts, just made my mouth water AGAIN. But before I met her I stopped at Zandbroz because I had some time. I found the sweetest little dear figurine that is pink with rhinestones for spots, it has a little ribbon around its next with a bell. My inspiration for the nursery has been found. I couldn't resist her. Now I am more excited than ever to get her home put together. LOVE bringing a girl to this world, this is just the beginning.

Anthony last night came up with the name Claire, completely out of the blue. He was in my room checking out  the monkey sleeper my sister bought, showing me how he was going to hold the baby and he looks at me very intently,"How about Claire mom?" I think he might be onto something...

Glitter and sparkle

Is pretty much all I can think about, that and sleep. I cannot get over how much more tired I have been this pregnancy. The nice thing that I finally appreciate is my husband is a sleeper too so we have been going to bed at the same time-8:00-8:30 every night together which has been really nice. It reminds me of when we dated. We laugh, talk about our days, watch movies, have snacks. I can tell that he is enjoying it too. Last night my sister came over to deliver the cutest little pink mary janes and pink sleeper with monkey feet, she volunteered to read with Anthony before bed. Erik and I were literally counting the minutes in the living room it seemed like they were taking forever...nice parenting I know. But that is how tired I am. I feel like doing a victory lap after the boys are tucked in and dancing all the way down the steps to celebrate my future siesta.

On another note I was home with Alex for a half day on Monday because Lynn called me due to some digestive issues-yep they were gross. But after I got him changed I watched him sitting on the couch with his blanket folded over his legs watching Tom & Jerry with a smile across his face. He is just the easiest kid and I just enjoy hanging out with him. Granted now that he is 3 he has his moments but I can so relate to him. Cannot believe he is going to be a big brother. He seems so much younger than Anthony was when Alex was born and in reality they will be almost the exact same age. All the kids will be about 3 1/2 years apart.

So what do you think of these names: Jill, Allison, Harper, Elizabeth. Those are the names of the week....

The new bathroom floor is in downstairs and new toilet. This weekend they are putting in the vanity and trim then we are going to start on the kitchen.
