All Done.
All done feeling sorry for myself I promise. In all honesty I wasn't even having that bad of a day, just one of those monotonous days where you wonder is this really it? Clearly not a half full type of day. I don't think you are completely human if you don't have those days creep up now and then.
In other news Anthony is on the mend. No more fever, yay! Still tired when he gets home from school but you can see the energy rising every day. There were many children sick at his school. I am very thankful that Alex has not felt the effects of the flu season yet.
Tonight we carved pumpkins. I am a true Halloween lover through and through! How can you not love dressing up in fun costumes and being rewarded with candy? It is obviously a win-win!I love to decorate for Halloween, find the boys their costumes, and go trick or treating. Anthony is going to be Batman this year, Alex will be Frankenstein. Watching Alex trick or treat this year will be entertaining enough. Sweets and Alex go together like mommy and chocolate...too good.

Hmmm...
Ever just get tired?
Ever feel like sometimes life is so predictable?
Ever feel guilty for thinking that?
Ever wonder why on this day you just cannot feel content?
Ever wonder why you don't seem to care?
Do you sometimes feel exposed writing where you know others can see?
Do you sometimes question whether you should write something because others may pose judgment?
Do you sometimes just don't care what others think?
Do you feel that the older you get you simply really don't care what others think?
As long as it makes you feel better.
As long as your family is happy and healthy (minus the flu).
As long as you know that tomorrow is a new day that is a new start to appreciate that sometimes things being predictable are the times that you should appreciate the most.

Happy Anniversary Erik!
Today is 8 years of wedded bliss for Erik and I. Crazy! Sometimes it feels much longer, sometimes it feels like yesterday. I guess it just depends on the day. Our plans are appropriate for an 8 year anniversary. Lunch at Mexican Village followed by dinner with our boys tonight, bath time, and bed time.
Our wedding was one of the best days of my life. Including the weather, it was a perfect fall day but was alot warmer in comparison to today. It was a seven o'clock wedding because we were having a Catholic ceremony on a Saturday. I woke up next to Amber who was snoring away because she had been with the boys partying the night before our wedding. I ordered room service, took a bath, and tried to calm my nerves. Up until the wedding we all had teased Erik that he was going to pass out due to nerves but the joke was on me because come the day of the wedding I was a complete wreck. He on the other hand was calm, confident, and glowing. I was nervous, jittery, and I think gray until the ceremony was over. Not because I didn't want to get married but I just wanted everything to be perfect. What bride doesn't?
I can vividly remember walking down the aisle with my dad. The doors opening and him asking me if I was ready. My initial response was nope definitely not, granted I didn't tell my father that. But as soon as I saw Erik I knew that I was more than ready. More than ready to be with him for the rest of my life. More than ready to have babies with him. More than ready to laugh with him, fight with him, and have the first dance with him.
The girls at work asked me today if I was happy with my husband? Were there times I wanted to give up? Had we had tough times? My answer to all of these questions was absolutely. I was more than ready at times to leave, give up, and run away. But I think what makes a marriage are the times that you are more than ready to to have date night, late night talks, and just the peace of your partners company. I am more committed than ever to have those moments with my husband for the rest of my life.

Mondays...
Two funny stories from yesterday:
1) We went to the grocery store to pick up some milk, etc. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month so the store is decked out in pink with balloons, streamers, and pink baked goods. Anthony is strolling along with me and he takes off to this table with festive pink frosting everywhere. His eyes are popping out of his head looking at a cake that has a pink push up bra and panties on. He shouts out, "Mom, look this cake has boobs with bras on it!" Alex begins to scream because he wants the pink cupcake next to the cup. People are now staring, awesome...
2) We get the car loaded and start to drive home. Anthony asks if he can play basketball when we get home because his friend Evie from school who lives by us is going to take a walk and stop by to say hello. I tell him that it is going to be cold and wet so maybe not a good idea. We get home and Erik is tinkering in the garage tells me to let him as long as he puts a coat on. They are out there for 15 minutes or so and Erik tells Anthony that it is time to come in for dinner. The door opens and I can hear the two of them conversing back and forth. Anthony walks in looks at me and says,"Mom, Evie said she wouldn't be here until sunset." He is dead serious, there is no white lie going on. Erik and I are trying to contain our laughter but it was the SWEETEST thing I have heard in a while.

Weekend Update
So this past weekend we had a great time hanging out with my family. On Friday we just relaxed. My mom made homemade chicken noodle soup that was delicious. On Saturday we decided to try hit the mall for some shopping-it was ridiculously busy so not much was accomplished as far as shopping. They had the ND State Wildlife Association out there in kiosk's so Anthony enjoyed some free projects which I also appreciated because they kept his energy focused on finding the kiosk's versus things he wanted to buy. We made a pit stop at Pout since my mom had not been there yet. Gave Kris a big hug since I had not seen her since she got back from Las Vegas. Her brain had been on my brain alot so it was great to see her, the store and Kris looked great! My mom bought Alex the cutest winter hat as well as some shower gifts. After we left Pout my mom watched the boys and I headed over to Mick's to meet up with my dad, husband, and uncle. They had taken over the big screen to watch the Bison Homecoming Game as well as the Twins. It always strikes me funny observing men watch their sports. They become so animated with each play and pitcher of beer poured. Shouting, high five's, and debating whether a call should be valid or not. Saturday night the Capouch's invaded our house with barbecues, nachos, and some good old fashioned Rock Band. My father wrestled pretty much anyone within an arm's length of him. I believe Anthony finally finished him off and my dad was sore the next day...he he!
Yesterday we cleaned up shop, organized, and enjoyed some DQ. The boys were both in bed early. I enjoyed some R&R after they were tucked in. Erik was again watching the Twins, tonight is the Vikings vs Packers game, and tomorrow is the Twins last game in the Metrodome. I never thought I would know so much about sports schedules and with three boys in my house I am sure this is just the beginning...

The Blog Frog
I have been doing some research with all of the great features that you can use with your blog. The one that I decided to venture on today was The Blog Frog-buttons to the right. I have seen this used on other peoples blog and my favorite feature is the community button. I am confident that we definitely have a community of bloggers that regularly reads up on one another and I thought if you ladies were comfortable with it we could start our own community. Consider it a "happy hour" among us bloggers that don't live close to one another or for even those that do but can sit down for 20 minutes debating about a current event or hash out what to do with our children that aren't eating their veggies, etc. Once we all have joined and are part of the same community it gives us the flexibility to have discussions. There is no administrator you just name the time and if there is a subject you are looking to cover, from there it is at your own discretion if you are interested in that community conversation. I think I might just like the word community, I admit it is one of my favorite words.
So there you have it, my golden thought for the day. Let me know your thoughts...If you are interested sign up and lets get chatting.
Okay so I posted this earlier and then took it off because I don't want anyone to feel they have to do this or feel uncomfortable. But I still stand by the fact that I think it would be fun to do a blog "happy hour" once in awhile. Just saying...
