Dreams are odd, interesting, and make me curious...
So last night I went to bed and it was one of those nights where you feel like you are dreaming through out the entire night. I had the most vivid dreams where they felt like real life. My last dream was with my Grandma June. She was sitting on a step outside of a house that we were at with all of my relatives. I was venting to my Aunts about being upset with my dad when I looked out of the corner of my eye. She was sitting there a few feet away from us listening wrapped up in a blanket. When I saw her I immediately got up and ran to hug her. I told her,"That sometimes I forget that she is still here." That hug felt so real. I was crying so hard in my dream because I was so happy to see her. She was my rock before she died. I told her everything, if I was having a good or bad day I shared it with her. Dreams strike me funny because they can set the tone for your day. Today I feel like its a brand new day. That anything can happen...I love that I can see her and hold her when I close my eyes.

The new topic- do you use or abstain?
Recently I found myself defending my "social network" world to one of my colleagues. He claimed that I was the queen of media social networking because I am on Facebook AND(GASP)have a blog. His view was why do we care what others are doing? Why do we care if a person we have not spoken to in 10 years is playing outside with their kids or "excited its Friday". At first I was noticeably irritated and wanted to go on the defense. Then I was questioning myself, why do I care? My next thought was he needs to mind his own business. Back again to why do I care?
First off I love the fact that you can talk to people without having to always have the awkward conversation,"So, what are you doing now days?" Good news you can check it out on Facebook. For those that know me well it is no secret that I have very little patience for small talk that is not going anywhere or doesn't have a purpose. Please Mr. Cashier give me my change and let me go.
Secondly, even thought I don't like small talk I LOVE to socialize. It is the best of both worlds. With Facebook you can say your peace and move on. Besides working at a desk job all day without some sort of break in the day with useless information may just someday kill me.
Third, I love to blog. Don't care if I am a mom nerd. It is therapy for me and beneficial to my husband and children that I have an outlet to a community that gets me. Well maybe not gets me but can relate to situations in my life. Whether you all know it you have been great in giving advice, sharing opinions, or just making me laugh which in itself is worth it to me.
So my point is I am going to stand loud and proud because I admit it, I am a social networker and don't give a damn who knows it. Call me what you like but be careful because I may just share it on Facebook or my blog. P.S. MYOB

Happy Birthday Leslie!

Since I must be pregnant-(just kidding :) because of my sappy posts lately I thought I might as well put in a post about Leslie. Today is her 31st birthday, I love it because she catches up to me each and every year. Leslie was my first friend that I made when I moved to Moorhead in 9Th grade. We became friends and this is no lie as she quotes,"Because you were wearing Guess jeans and you were pretty." Now if that doesn't sum up highschool superficial thinking what does? I can still remember her approaching me in Mr. Phillipe's English class. She was eyeing me up and down, telling me that her locker was around the corner if I wanted to come with her after class so I could meet some of her friends (whom all eventually became my closest friends in my class). Mind you the girls in Moorhead did not welcome me with open arms. It was not easy being the new girl in 9Th grade, ironically the boys were the exact opposite. But when I moved to Moorhead I had some serious issues and a broken heart so I was not interested in boys. Just some female companionship and that is exactly what I got. I tell you what that girl set me straight. There was no topic off limits, no secrets kept, and no BS. Exactly what I needed at that time. We have shared highschool, milestones through our twenties together, and now our children are friends. We have had many arguments, adult beverages, and shopping trips together. She can point out my weaknesses and strengths in the same conversation, open my eyes to a situation, and tell me to stick it without batting an eye. She also can make me laugh like few others, wears the same clothes as me like few others, and keeps me grounded like few others.
Cheers to Leslie!

We all need...
A heterosexual life partner. That is what AJ and I identify our friendship as and there really is no better way to claim it. This past weekend AJ was lucky enough to get free tickets to WeFest. Neither of us had been there since we were 18-19. We had a BLAST! Not sure if I would pay to go witness some of the socialites but I am all over free tickets for anything especially with AJ. I find it somewhat humorous that we are grown, married women with beautiful families but when we get together we revert into teenagers. When we told our friends that know us well we were going to WeFest together most promptly responded,"Now you two be careful." We did after all have our umbrellas and ponchos with. Thanks for the great weekend AJ!
